Integrated Dairy Production Facility — Case Study
In line with data protection regulations, we share the concrete outcomes of our projects while protecting client confidentiality.
Work Done and Results
By redesigning the existing switch and backbone infrastructure, analog cameras were migrated to an IP-based system; all processes from perimeter security to personnel tracking via the attendance control system were digitized into a centralized, easily manageable platform.
Company name and identity withheld in accordance with data protection regulations.
Starting Point
The plant's network backbone had grown piece by piece over the years and its switches had reached their limits. Analogue cameras could not be monitored centrally, staff attendance was tracked on paper and server backups were not taken regularly.
Work Carried Out
- The switch and backbone structure was renewed and the network segmented (VLAN).
- Analogue cameras were converted to IP cameras and recordings gathered on a central recording server.
- Perimeter boundaries were connected to alarm-supported monitoring.
- Staff clock-in/out and shift tracking were digitalised with PDKS.
- A regular backup and restore plan with Veeam was set up for the servers.
Infrastructure Used
A backbone renewed with managed switches, IP cameras and a recording server, PDKS terminals and Veeam-based backup.
Outcome
30% Infrastructure Speed Increase · 240 Integrated Camera Points · 24/7 Alarm-Backed Monitoring
Timing and Planning
The work was split into phases so as not to stop daily operations; the timeline was planned according to the project scope, and each phase was tested and commissioned on completion.
